I finely finished reading my book, “On Basilisk Station” by David Weber. It’s the first in a series of books about Honor Harrington who is a mix of Admiral Lord Nelson and Captain Thomas Cochrane in the year 4000. The last hundred pages read fast and were quite violent, most vicious space battle I ever read. She wins in the end but looses a third of her crew, has another quarter wounded and half her officers blown out into space. All in all most of the major characters don’t make it to the end of the book.
I’m going to try to read the whole series but I don’t know how far I’ll get as, the “Hononverse” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honor_Harrington is quite complected. Anyway it’ the first book I’ve read this year so I might as well read another one if I can find one.
