I’ve Been Wasabied !

I had my blood checked today and it was entirely too thin so I headed off to the East Garden to reward myself and fill up on broccoli. I had a bunch of those little things with rice wrapped around crab legs wrapped in seaweed. I put entirely too much wasabi on the first one so I put just as much on the next one and that’s when I saw the great King Crab god. He imparted his great knowledge on me and I wish I could tell you what it was but you’re not ready. When the tears stopped rolling down my cheeks I filled up on pepper fried fish and those little hot dogs wrapped in pastry dough, oh, and lots more wassabi. It’s great on fish too.

When I left home they were digging up the road in front of the fire station. They seem to be installing a storm drain in the middle of Lake Costello. I guess it’s needed but I just had ordered some trout to be stocked in it for the spring trout season. Anyway we won’t have to walk in the middle of the road to get around the lake anymore. Back during the fall rains it covered the sidewalk and both lanes of the road.

Now if the sun would just come out, so far it’s been the year of no sun.

  1. Your first paragraph made me laugh out loud, Alan!

It’s been sunless here too, but that’s OK. I love wind and rain. If it could be that way every other day, I’d be happy as a mynah bird 😀

    • I once read a great booked named “The Gray Mane of Morning”. I loved the title, it describes a lot of the mornings around here when you can’t see your hand in front of your face. I like walking in the fog once in a while, you don’t know what will appear out of the mist.
